Quests
For our 10th anniversary, we’re introducing a new way to experience the day.
Quests are expert-led workshops and excursions in small groups across Hong Kong. They take place in the morning, before the talks begin, with transport provided to the Xiqu Centre in time for the afternoon event.
There are five quests to choose from. Click each one to see what you’ll experience.

Workplace Whodunnit
Exploring empathy, judgment, and decision-making in the moment.
Who should join: Anyone who collaborates or works with other people across teams, organisations or communities.
Step into a high-stakes, interactive workshop where every decision shapes what happens next. Part workplace simulation, part social experiment, this experience reveals how pressure, bias, assumptions, and incomplete information shape how we think, communicate, and respond.
Through unfolding scenarios, participants navigate tension, conflicting perspectives, and uncertain outcomes while building sharper judgment and stronger empathy, along with more effective decision-making.
Designed for anyone working with others, this session takes a practical, human approach, helping you separate assumptions from real signals to strengthen communication, trust, and collaboration in modern work environments.

Join us to elevate your presentation skills in a quest that’s more of an adventure than just a talk. ‘The Actor’s Approach To Public Speaking’ is an immersive experience led by Nicholas Atkinson, an award-winning actor and founder of Punch Presentations.
Combining his theatrical and corporate facilitation skills, Nicholas will guide you through a unique TEDxTinhau Women Quest that explores the inspiring story of a child afraid of the spotlight, setting the stage for your own growth.
As the story unfolds, you’ll become part of the performance, not just an observer. Together, you’ll explore creative ways to find and express your voice—starting from understanding what you want to say, then crafting compelling messages using familiar plots. You’ll help the room discover its voice and embody different physical styles, culminating in a collective ‘happening’ that will leave you inspired, connected, and confident to take your place on any stage.
Wear comfortable clothes and shoes. The environment is highly interactive but safe and supportive; participate as much or as little as you wish

Location: AIA Vitality Hub, Hong Kong Observation Wheel, 33 Man Kwong St, Central
Time: 8:45am – Arrival – Workshop: 9am – 1130am
Most people have experienced the feeling: standing on a race start line. Walking onto a stage. Introducing yourself in a room full of strangers. Being asked a question you weren’t expecting. In those moments, our heart rate rises, our breathing changes, and our minds start racing.
This interactive Quest explores what happens when we feel pressure and visibility, and how we can respond differently when it matters most.
Through a series of live speaking and performance challenges, participants will experience real yet safe moments of pressure, learn practical techniques used by athletes, performers, and speakers to regulate their nervous systems, and immediately apply those techniques to experience the difference for themselves.
Whether you’re preparing for a presentation, a difficult conversation, a race, or perhaps even a future TEDx stage, you’ll leave with a deeper understanding of your own pressure response and practical tools to help you stay calm, clear, and confident when all eyes are on you.

From there, step into the Centre for Refugees and experience a thought-provoking refugee simulation that offers insight into the uncertainty, complexity, and resilience behind journeys of displacement.
This eye-opening Quest invites participants to challenge assumptions, deepen empathy and reflect on what belonging looks like in one of the world’s most diverse cities.
