TEDxTinHauWomen, a part of the global TEDWomen community, brings together a global community of people interested in exploring how change begins: with innovative thinkers who catalyze ideas towards action.

Last year, our approach was a little different. Responding and adapting to the new normal of 2020, we re-framed and redefined our priorities to focus on healing, support and recovery. Over the years, we have built a strong community and wanted to help Hong Kong where it really counted in 2020.

We aimed at bringing value to those around us, engaging our community and persevering in creating social connections while driving positive actions. To do this we created three pillars of focus;

  • COUNTDOWN- A smaller, more focused event that was organised in Hong Kong on Saturday , 17th October 2020, coinciding with the  2020 global theme about sustainability and climate change. COUNTDOWN, is a global initiative to champion and accelerate solutions to the climate crisis, turning ideas into action. Check out more details about this event here.
  • MAKE IT COUNT- Continued fostering key relationships with our sponsors while growing our network of partners through mini speaker events and other initiatives.
  • COUNT ME IN Focused on community at large- giving back, staying healthy, volunteering our time to charities and keeping social. Along with our very popular ‘FIT’ with TEDxTinHauWomen, we also planned sharing and learning opportunities that introduced TED Circles. TED Circles is made up of small groups that engage in conversations about ideas as they watch and discuss a theme based TED Talk. Shared takeaways, considered each other’s perspectives to create local and global conversations.

As our schedule evolves, activities are added to our community calendar — check it out below and join us to give back, learn, grow, get fit and spread ideas.
